European Danube Academy

DENK GLOBAL! offers education programmes the field of globalisation and sustainability. Founded in 2014, DENK GLOBAL! coordinates the German-wide peer education network teamGLOBAL and has initiated numerous national and international youth projects. The main focus of the educational work is empowerment of young people, discussing together the challenges of a globalised world – ecological, economical, political, individual – and the possibilities to react to those and act responsibly on an individual level.

teamGLOBAL is a German-wide network of about 50 young volunteers aged between 16 and 27 offering peer-to-peer workshops on topics concerning globalisation and sustainability. The participants of the network develop individual and innovative methods and conduct a great number of workshops at schools and other youth workshops.

Andrassy University

Andrassy University is a European University in Budapest, Hungary which puts the focus on European integration with a main topic of Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Danube region. Goals of the university are the development and advancement of experts on Europe as well as interdisciplinarity in instruction and research. The university relies especially on the strengthening of cooperation among the countries along the Danube. The #DanubeCampaigns Bootcamp will take place at the Andrassy University.

“Kleiner Fünf” (eng. smaller five) is a civil society initiative fighting right wing populism from Germany. Founded in August 2016, the initiative mobilised 150 activists during the national elections in 2017. The initative developed different online tools and formats during the election campaign to mobilise citizens – online as well as offline – to show a positive attitude on democracy and stand against hate speach and right wing populism. The main aim of “Kleiner Fünf” was to support a politie and democratic cultural of discussion. The initiative is fighting for a society without social exclusion and hatred.
